About Lakeside Smokehouse

Jeff Nesseth

Jeff was born and raised in Huntington Beach and brings both West Coast roots and Southern hospitality to everything he does. After heading to Texas to attend Southern Methodist University, Jeff built a distinguished 35-year career in the financial services industry, recently celebrating his 30-year anniversary with his wife Kelli with pride and gratitude. A dedicated family man, Jeff is the proud father of two daughters and is excited to be welcoming his first grandchild in 2026 — a milestone he’s looking forward to with immense joy. Beyond his professional career, Jeff has always had a passion for great barbecue and community gathering. As one of owners of Lakeside Smokehouse, he is thrilled to partner with Bryan Sanders and Mack Family Legacy Farms to bring authentic, high-quality BBQ to the Lake Keowee area, where he proudly calls home. For Jeff, it’s about more than food — it’s about family, tradition, and creating a place where the community can come together and enjoy exceptional barbecue and comradery.

Bryan Sanders

Together with his wife Toni, Bryan is a proud parent of two children and grandfather to three grandchildren — roles he considers his greatest accomplishments. As he enters a new chapter and looks toward retirement, he’s focused on pursuing work that blends purpose, lifestyle, and connection, something that naturally led him to the world of barbecue and hospitality. A strong supporter of veteran-focused causes, including Operation Healing Forces, Bryan believes in honoring those who serve and giving back to the communities that shape us. As Co-Founder of Lakeside Smokehouse alongside Jeff Nesseth, he is proud to help build a gathering place where great food, genuine hospitality, and lasting memories come together. For Bryan, Lakeside Smokehouse is more than a BBQ brand — it’s an extension of family, tradition, and the belief that sharing a meal is one of the best ways to bring people closer.
